The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property passed by the XV National Assembly at its 3rd session on June 16, 2022 and taking effect on January 1, 2023 contains provisions amending and supplementing in Chapter V on Copyright Registration Certificate, relevant rights. Accordingly, in order to implement the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property, on April 26, 2023, the Government promulgates Decree No. 17/2023/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Intellectual Property on copyright and related rights; 02/06/2023, The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism promulgates Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating samples in copyright registration activities and related rights.

Following the Conference on Information and Dissemination of Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BVHTTDL dated 02/06/2023 stipulating samples in copyright registration activities, related rights and the registration of copyright and related rights for the Northern region held in Hanoi, on 11/9/2023, the Copyright office of Vietnam continues to organize the Information Conference, disseminate Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BVHTTDL dated 02/06/2023 stipulating samples in copyright registration, related rights and copyright and related rights registration for the southern area at Sen Viet Hotel, 33 Cao Thang Street, Ward 2, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

Information conference, disseminated with the participation of delegates to consulting organizations of copyright services, related rights; representatives of some copyright and related rights owners (software companies, publishers, websites…); representatives of several universities in the region; media agencies, newspapers…

The conference aims to propagate and disseminate legal provisions on copyright and related rights; samples in copyright registration activities, related rights specified in Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BVHTTDL and other contents related to target groups being organizations, individuals operating in the field as well as related to the field of copyright and related rights. From there, exchange and discuss copyright registration activities, related rights, difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and propose recommendations and solutions for implementation in the coming time.
