Addressing at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Tran Hoang – Director General of the Copyright Office said: Following the success of the Northern Regional Conference, this Conference is organized for the Southern region with the aim is for the Intellectual Property Law 2022 and its guiding documents and international commitments on copyright and related rights to truly come to life; At the same time, focus on collecting comments for the Draft Decree stipulating the sanctioning for administrative violations of copyrights and related rights; Enhance the role and promote the protection of copyrights and related rights, especially the handling of copyrights and related rights violations by administrative measures in the current period, on that basis, continue to improve the legal corridor on intellectual property in general, on copyright and related rights in particular, to be complete, transparent, feasible, creating convenience for people and businesses; contributing to promoting the growing cultural industry associated with copyright protection.

The Conference listened to Ms. Pham Thi Kim Oanh – Deputy Director General of the Copyright Office, giving an overview of the amended and supplemented contents of the Draft Decree, the process of summarizing practices and developing the Draft Decree according to provisions of the Law on Promulgation of legal documents.

At the Conference, the attending delegates received many new contents on the legal regulations on copyrights and related rights recently amended and supplemented in the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Intellectual Property Law on copyrights and related rights 2022, Decree No. 17/2023/ND-CP dated April 26, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Intellectual Property Law on copyright and related rights. relate to.
