With spirit of the World Intellectual Property Day 2019, the Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV) has conducted many events in the whole country, as follows:

On 10 and 11 April 2019, in Hanoi, COV in collaboration with WIPO organized a Seminar on Marrakesh Treaty to facilitate access to published works for persons who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise print disabled (MVT) and Seminar on the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT), the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT), the Beijing treaty (BTAP). Two seminars aimed at sharing information and experience in management and enforcement activities, contributing to promoting copyright and related rights protection in Vietnam; at the same time, assessing the economic, cultural and social impacts in order to complete the application file for WCT and WPPT.

In order to propagate and raise public awareness of intellectual property in socio-economic development, encourage innovation and learn about the role and meaning of intellectual property with the campaign sports World Intellectual Property Day 2019, COV participated in the event "Celebrating World Intellectual Property Day in Vietnam" by the National Office of Intellectual Property, Department of Science and Technology Ho Chi Minh City organized at Youth Cultural House, Ho Chi Minh City on April 20.

On April 26, at 272 Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh city, COV, Vietnam Intellectual Property Institute, Vietnam Record Association and Vietnam National Record Institute organized the event of "celebrating the World Intellectual Property Day" The 37th Meeting of Vietnam National Record – 2019 and the launch of Vietnam Memory Organization. The event aimed at honoring creativity and innovation in social and economic development activities of the public. Also in this event, the COV and the Center for Enabling Startups and Knowledge Transfer, Vietnam National University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote communication, education and training activities, raising awareness and awareness of observing laws on copyright and related rights in Vietnam.
